Persuasive Essay
Mr. Jimmy's presentation |
I don't agree with the statement above because as we know all, First, Indonesia is an archipelago countries. We get the gap in education differences between the island of Java and outside Java. The gap in the island of Java and outside Java due to inadequate infrastructur in outside Java. As a result, teacher does not feel comfortable to teach in outside Java especially in remote areas. Lack of teachers affect the quality of education based on national curriculum applied. We need to be equal teacher quantity distribution both in Java and outside Java. After that, we do conduct teacher training in three region especially East Indonesia. One of the government program is College teaches with LPDP supporting in 2021.
The second reason, we also understand the differences in character culture between Jakarta Province and Banten province as an example. The national curriculum in Jakarta will certainly be different from that in Banten with local content curriculum such as Betawi Culture and Sundanese Language. The same thing applies to cultural characters with other provinces.
The last, national curriculum must also be constantly updated in accordance with the context of the context of industry 4.0. Education must focuses on critical thinking, creative, collaboration and problem solving needs. It starts from the teachers. We do these without forgetting our national identiy as a whole education plan.
As a conclusion, there are three points of disagreement about the statement above. The reason are Inadequate infrastructure, province's culture character and to develop analythical thinking for students. We need to think and to act concrete actions to answer global challenges by preparing our students in the future. Teacher should be a learner always. The infrastructure must be equal develop both in Java and outside Java. The fair policy must be applied so that no teacher in Papua moved to Java island. National curiculum should be reviewed each year. Be wise to make policy in diverse nation.
