When Covid 19 comes, many workplaces send their employees work from home and student learn from home also. Then to communicate each others, the virtual communication is the best solution. Virtual communication is the common way for people do during pandemic Covid 19. Virtual communication is an innovation to avoid Covid 19 disease transmission. It is an effective ways to communicate with others without physical contact. 

Virtual communication means how people connect with others from all over the world, without in the same places and times. Sometimes virtual communication gets many challenges, for example: internet stable connection and the tools availability. When we face such many challenges, we should be patience and do not be panic. 

There are three key insights to help you become a better virtual communicator (Quantified Communication) :

1. It is more important than ever to include the audience

When talking in virtual communication, keep in these question in your minds, who is my audience, why this matter to them and how I can include them in my message to keep them from getting distracted -  opening up a new browser window? Think of all elements involved in attending virtual communication. Consider unpredictable moments and to turn your own privacy.

2. Shorter content is more effective

Remain that virtual communication is different with In-person meeting. It means, make the short content has many benefit for us because we need person to be more focus and to the point. Especially in the busy environment, distracted at home, chronically worried and demanding of need to know the information or perhaps your audience is a doctor, hard to silence work.

3. We are using our voices effectively over technology but not our faces

When we communicate with technology, it means we use our voice to talk with others rather than our face. We can write our script before talking as natural. Virtual communication have access to a variety including email, video conference, chat platforms, social media channels, ext. People usually prefer to use tools they have convenient ones. So that, it is very important to think first before choosing communication tools. For one way directly communication, use text based channels like chat, email and bulletin boards. Then use video conferencing and web conferencing when handling complex tasks like negotiation and problem-solving. 

2. Develop student trust

Trust is the basis of communication. When there is regular and effective communication, trust will be developed at a fast-paced rate. So, it is important to engage your student trust regularly through daily updates, weekly meeting, agenda book announcement and daily conversations.Developing a culture where student are praised and offered constructive input rahter than blames can also help to build your student trust.

3. Come up with virtual water cooler moment

You can create your virtual communication to have quality time together, talk about your student activities and build strong connection with each other. You can organize coffee session to provide opportunities for your meeting to engage in some enjoyable and casual conversation such as In-person meeting. The goal here is to create a feeling of belongingness and space where people can casually interact with others and probably to share knowledge or experience in the ongoing process of communication,

4. Adopt open and inclusive communication strategies

Many of your students mostly consist of people from different backgrounds, cultures and life experiences. To get the most out of your student diversity, you must implement open and inclusive communication strategies. Be sure to require participation from all of your student. Seeking for perspective and opinions from all of your students to show honesty to diverse ideas. Also, come up with effective conflict management strategies and be sure to include ideas and suggestion from your student.

5. Develop standardized document for flawless process control

Every students should have a clearly defined rules, tasks and goals. A clear way to measure performance must also be put in place. All these details should be captured in a shared committed document to offer everyone easy access. That is way, student will know what is expected objective from teachers. In turn, allocate roles and responsiblity will greatly increase student's focus and productivity.

6. Reward or Acknowledge of Achievement

When student are rewarded or recognized for good achievement, they accomplish become more motivated and focused. This applies to virtual communication also. Send personalized messages to your student to remind his or her achievement or when celebrate birthday. It is an unforgottable moments for your student. They will remember even in the private virtual communication,

7. Effectively manage the time zone differences

Try to be a good host when conducting the learning online. First, introduce your student the school's rules and morning devotion. Do it everyday and so, they will remember. Prepare yourself as a host in virtual communication in one day before learning online. It helps your confidence and be sure what you will talk and teach to your students.
